IDHHB 2014

“It is dangerous to speak out – it is 10 times more dangerous not to speak out” – E.J. Gold, March 28, 2017

If it was difficult to recall events from last year (=2016), how much more so as we are going back in time year after year? Makes me think of just starting an events diary and keeping that currant.

So, I have not a lot to say regarding a 2014 summary, in fact, I remember by dates very little, though more and more is coming back as I go back in my mind. In general, over the last 15 years of so, the most readily available are: the gallery years, start of online bardo-training, personal bardo-training with EJ in the gallery and the first few bardo training years, international intensive 2007, the ladder 99 intensive, “you can draw” and other art classes 2008, brane-power 2009 and on, events October 2010 – May, 2011, July 3, 2012, events in the garden starting April 2012, gorebaggtv around 2009, as I go back, more becomes available, but 2014? I can say some things about the chicken garden, I know general things like band practice on Mondays, some visitors – but specifics? So, I will have to resort to images 🙂

Hello to our Properity Path Friends

More and more people are coming to goddgames as a result of their use of the Prosperity Path Games. Since these games are built with the same engine and resources as the Prosperity Path Orbs that is only natural.

You will be happy to hear that these games have much of the same effect — and work well for bardo-training. The main different between the games found on GODDGames and those in the Prosperity Path is this: these games have plots and monsters added for a bit of challenge and another kind of training.

More didgeridoo and guitar work., Art classes,

Christmas dinner, Healing Workshop, Birthday celebration.

Visitors – Doug, Viraja, Faye, Fred, Helena, Gail, Gerald, Henrik, Kay, Lily, Lin, Lisa,(beads), Ken, Tiffany -Neville moves on.

IDHHB 2016

While looking for something else, I came across a post titled: IDHHB 2015. I loved it and then recalled: this is March 2017, and what do I remember of 2016? Not enough, so I am about to create just a little page with at least one image for each month, which makes it not so little I suppose.  All images taken by me unless otherwise specified.

First off, before all the pictures, there are events happening each week that are on a fixed schedule: Weekday 6:30 am daily Gorby’s Place live transmission, Band Practice Monday afternoon, Tuesday’s Burger Day Lunch , Wednesday evening life stream show with David Franco, Pat and Iven, Thursday night with xxaxx, aka Claude Needham, Saturday and Sunday morning ICW with E.J . and Claude and Sundays at 630pm, LRS Pattie Show. Those were the live and online regularly scheduled events all through 2016. Continue reading IDHHB 2016

Prasad truffles – from chocolatiers at IDHHB – Chocolate Obsessions

idhhb-truffles_2415The kitchen is the heart of a home, as well as a community. Cooking can be an activity of mundane, crude, making food edible sort of activity, to culinary delight preparation to the high art of invocation, magic and spiritual practice and intentional living. It starts with the intention, the choice of ingredients, your consciousness, state of mind and feeling during food preparation, the cooking itself and the presentation of the food.

A conscious attitude in cooking is one of service. Service to the food, service to those who you feed, with boundless gratitude.

With a good meal, you feed the whole being.

Sing your song – Music on Tuesdays

chicks-201303xx_aroostercrowing_1908You are cordially invited to explore this music adventure for non-musicians. It is possible to create a palpable field as a group – even without being physically present with each other. IF someday, in this reality, we actually want to sing anything together …we got to know some songs, no?

There really are other considerations – please see below 🙂 – This is not the first attempt at this, this doing  music, only the first one in this reality. ..and why again? Come to think of it – I don’t actually have an answer – only an intuitive hunch that music is important…

So then, this coming Tuesday, August 12 at 10am PT – we’ll start with this folk song Waltzing Mathilda” – which a lot of you are already familiar with. You work with that song the way you work with it in your home and with or without instruments and a time it works for you.

In researching you will find there are various versions or the song – and you may practice with any or all of them. Have some fun.

It is said that if one door closes, another one opens.

Some considerations:

Maybe rather than vicariously watching a woman or 2 past their youthful prime to try get some cords out of a guitar 🙂 – what if you are called to participate – without even watching? Just knowing we are all working with the same  song on the same day might create a field in which connection is learned to be sensed. What if you will share your experience after?

Today, August 10, 2013 in Gorby’s cafe there was a little discussion and at some point someone said: this self initiation thing – it is not easy ….

So how – if at all possible, can one form a habit of making music when it is not replacing any other habit? How to have enough will when there is no real necessity to help out with it? What if there is not really the desire or drive to keep at it. What if the only reason is to follow the guidance of a teacher and the vague wish one could do music in a band together…preferably without having to practice anything?

What does it take and is it worth it?

I will create an event on Dokgoth. Weekly folksongs will be posted on this page: click here!!! If we transmit live, we will let you know.

Kurt Vonnegut’s letter

Pencil Magic Art Classes moved to gorebaggtv on livestream on August 6, 2014. You can do art with us there Fridays at 1030 am. Bring a sharp soft pencil and paper.

In 2006, a group of students at Xavier High School in New York City were given an assignment by their English teacher, Ms. Lockwood, that was to test their persuasive writing skills: the task was:  write to your favorite author and ask him or her to visit the school. Some of the students chose
Kurt Vonnegut (he died  April 11, 2007, only a few months later).  He was the only one to reply – with this inspiring letter.

With much gratitude to all involved, there is the text of the letter:

November 5, 2006

Dear Xavier High School, and Ms. Lockwood, and Messrs Perin, McFeely, Batten, Maurer and Congiusta:

I thank you for your friendly letters. You sure know how to cheer up a really old geezer (84) in his sunset years. I don’t make public appearances any more because I now resemble nothing so much as an iguana.

What I had to say to you, moreover, would not take long, to wit: Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what’s inside you, to make your soul grow.

Seriously! I mean starting right now, do art and do it for the rest of your lives. Draw a funny or nice picture of Ms. Lockwood, and give it to her. Dance home after school, and sing in the shower and on and on. Make a face in your mashed potatoes. Pretend you’re Count Dracula.

Here’s an assignment for tonight, and I hope Ms. Lockwood will flunk you if you don’t do it: Write a six line poem, about anything, but rhymed. No fair tennis without a net. Make it as good as you possibly can. But don’t tell anybody what you’re doing. Don’t show it or recite it to anybody, not even your girlfriend or parents or whatever, or Ms. Lockwood. OK?

Tear it up into teeny-weeny pieces, and discard them into widely separated trash recepticals. You will find that you have already been gloriously rewarded for your poem. You have experienced becoming, learned a lot more about what’s inside you, and you have made your soul grow.

God bless you all!

Kurt Vonnegut

Now do some art !
