Your character can wear different kinds of equipment, some of which makes it much more capable to function well, some of it is totally awesome.

How do you get it?
Equipment is available from the merchants in the game, you can find it as drops from monsters, you can trade with other players. Some folks go on e-bay to buy it or diablo sites. You can craft it or make it using runes.
